Acer Launches New AI-focused Series

Acer has announced a series of launches that promise to revolutionise various business sectors. With the introduction of the TravelMate P6 14 series, the Chromebook Spin 512 and 714, the Chromebook Plus Enterprise and the Chromebox Mini CXM1, Acer offers advanced solutions that combine high performance, security and connectivity.

These new additions are designed to meet the specific demands of professionals in mobility, healthcare, cloud management and digital signage, reaffirming Acer’s commitment to technological excellence and continuous innovation.

Acer TravelMate: Premium experiences and advanced performance

Equipped with the latest processors and neural processing units (NPUs), the Acer TravelMate series offers superior performance and advanced security features, ideal for the education environment. These laptops feature Acer PurifiedView 2.0 and Acer PurifiedVoice with AI noise reduction, providing an optimized experience for video conferencing and live streaming. They also include Acer LiveArt, a tool that allows you to remove backgrounds from images and generate depth maps on 2D images.

This new TravelMate P6 14 series (TMP614-73) is designed to deliver premium experiences with the latest Intel technology. This Intel Evo edition notebook features Intel Core Ultra 7 processors with Intel integrated graphics and Intel AI Boost, delivering new AI capabilities, power efficiency and superior performance. Equipped with up to 32GB of LPDR5X memory and a PCIe M.2 SSD up to 1TB, the TravelMate P6 14 ensures fast response even under intensive workloads.

The device features a 14-inch WQXGA+ OLED display (2880 x 1800) with touch option, which together with a 16:10 aspect ratio and slim borders, delivers an immersive visual experience with cinematic colours and motion clarity. It also includes Wi-Fi 7 and Bluetooth 5.3 connectivity, along with multiple essential ports supporting Thunderbolt 4, providing seamless connectivity during business travel.

In the healthcare space, Acer introduces the Chromebook Spin 512 and 714 models, equipped with the latest technology for enhanced device management and security. The Chromebook Spin 512 features an Intel N100 quad-core processor, 12-inch HD+ display, and up to 8GB of memory, while the Spin 714 offers an Intel Core Ultra 7 processor, 14-inch WUXGA display, and up to 16GB of LPDDRRX memory.

Both models stand out for their ruggedness and durability, meeting MIL-STD 810H standards, and their connectivity capabilities with Wi-Fi 6E and LTE, making it easy to access information on the go. In addition, they offer long battery life and fast-charging capabilities, essential for the dynamic healthcare environment.

Chromebook Plus Enterprise: Solutions for the enterprise cloud

Acer has also introduced two new Chromebook Plus Enterprise models designed to optimise the cloud work environment. The Acer Chromebook Plus Enterprise 515 and Spin 514 come with advanced Google AI capabilities, offering enhanced video calling tools and both online and offline access to files with real-time synchronisation.

These devices, powered by Intel Core 7 processors and up to 16GB of LPDDR5X RAM, ensure advanced performance and multitasking capabilities. With a long battery life and fast charging, along with a military-grade aluminium chassis, the Chromebook Plus Enterprise provides security and durability for cloud workers. Chromebox Mini CXM1: Compact digital signage

For the digital signage sector, Acer introduces the Chromebox Mini CXM1, a compact device designed to efficiently manage digital content. Equipped with Intel processors and multiple connectivity options, this Chromebox ensures smooth and reliable operation in commercial and educational environments.

New Acer SpatialLabs Eyes Stereo Camera

Acer has launched the Acer SpatialLabs Eyes Stereo camera, complementing its range of SpatialLabs 3D devices. This compact camera is designed for photographers, enabling them to capture and display stereoscopic images in immersive 3D, compatible with the SpatialLabs suite of devices. With a resolution of 8 megapixels per eye, built-in selfie mirror and weatherproof exterior, the camera offers auto and touch focus capabilities, electronic image stabilisation (EIS) and a manual mode for more experienced photographers.

In addition, it supports real-time streaming, narration and high-resolution 3D video calling on platforms such as Teams, Zoom and Google Meet. This device has been awarded RedDot and iF Design Awards 2024 for its innovative design and ease of use.

The Acer SpatialLabs Eyes Stereo camera not only captures stunning 3D images and videos, but also enables real-time 3D streaming and video calls, providing a richer and more immersive experience.

New developer tools

Acer has also released new developer tools, such as plug-ins for Unreal 5.3 and Unity, and the SpatialLabs Model Viewer Pro application, which enhance the creation of 3D content for commercial applications. These tools will enable 3D content creators to display multiple models on a single device and customise presentations with logos and backgrounds, ideal for 3D installations in showrooms and professional presentations.
