Artificial Intelligence Floods SAP Sapphire

SAP has brought together 15,000 people at its conferences in Orlando and Barcelona, where it held its European edition.

Artificial intelligence (AI) is making steady progress in the business world. This phenomenon has been the protagonist at the annual SAP Sapphire 2024 congress, which has had two editions this year: an American one held in Orlando and a European one in Barcelona.

With nearly 15,000 attendees between the two, these editions of SAP Sapphire have allowed us to know the innovations and alliances of SAP in generative AI, as well as stories of transformation of various companies.

SAP has decided to integrate Business AI into its portfolio of cloud computing solutions to drive critical processes and, with it, a new wave of insight. This will not only change “how you work with SAP solutions, but how you work in general”, according to Christian Klein, CEO of the German company.

“The AI announcements and partnerships,” he explains, “build on our commitment to deliver breakthrough technology that drives real-world results, helping customers empower the agility and ingenuity they need to succeed in today’s changing business landscape.”

SAP has introduced new features in Joule Co-Pilot and announced its commitment to the UNESCO Ethical Principles for Artificial Intelligence, in support of human rights, equity and sustainable development.

Partnerships with technology leaders include the extension of its agreement with Google to improve prediction and mitigation of supply chain risks in unpredictable environments. Joule and SAP Integrated Business Planning for Supply Chain will link with Google’s Gemini Assistant and Google Cloud Cortex Framework’s Data Foundation.

A partnership with Meta Llama 3 will enable integration of its large language model to build SAP SuccessFactors images from scratch and generate scripts that render applications in the SAP Analytics Cloud. A partnership with NVIDIA will enable technology integrations in out-of-the-box applications, from data analytics to digital twins to code generation.

SAP Analytics Cloud integrates with Microsoft PowerPoint natively to communicate information by combining data and visuals. SAP Master Data Governance includes new orchestration capabilities. SAP Build low-code and pro-code tools advance the clean core strategy for ERP customers.
