Augmented Reality Makes Repairs Easier

With the support of augmented reality, owners of Dell devices can now carry out repairs and updates more easily through the new app. This increases the life and service life of the systems, saves costs and contributes to the sustainable use of IT equipment. Thanks to the support of augmented reality, looking at service manuals is no longer necessary in many cases.

The new AR Assistant app helps with parts replacement and repair of equipment. It is available for Android and iOS in seven languages. The app includes detailed step-by-step instructions and uses augmented reality to facilitate repair and update measures for more than 100 Dell devices, such as various systems from the Alienware, Chromebook, G Gaming, Inspiron, Latitude, OptiPlex, Precision, PowerEdge, Vostro and XPS series. Another 20 Dell systems are to be added in the course of the summer.
