Couchbase is now available on Google Cloud with Capella
It offers developers maximum flexibility to build and scale applications on Google Cloud’s vast infrastructure.
Couchbase has made public that its Data Base as a Service, Couchbase CapellaTM, is now available on Google Cloud. With this development, its customers will have greater flexibility when deploying Capella, improving alignment with applications and supporting hybrid and multi-cloud strategies from a single platform and at a very competitive price point.
Ritika Suri, director of technology partnerships at Google Cloud, says, “Accelerating database application development has become increasingly important for companies that are digitally transforming their businesses.” He adds, “By deploying Capella on Google Cloud’s secure and flexible global infrastructure, Couchbase is providing customers with a cost-effective solution to accelerate their application development.”
Capella is a database-as-a-service that reduces costs and offers developers performance at scale for enterprise applications. Customers will enjoy benefits such as:
- SQL DB users can develop with Couchbase Capella without having to learn another query language and can deploy in a few clicks. A single management panel simplifies multi-cluster, multi-region and multi-cloud operations.
- Developers gain multi-model capabilities and data structure flexibility, allowing them to develop applications for operational and transactional workloads, all from a single vendor. Users can choose one of ten SDKs with their preferred programming language.
- Superior performance and cost efficiency at scale. Couchbase Capella’s unique real-time, memory-first architecture ensures millisecond responses for highly interactive and personalized applications, while the budget continues to improve as users scale.
- Multi-cloud. By extending to Google Cloud, customers can easily build and run applications across all cloud service providers with just a few clicks.
In the words of Scott Anderson, senior vice president of product management and business operations at Couchbase, “With Capella on Google Cloud, we offer flexible capabilities to access multiple models and data structures that enable customers to quickly develop an even broader set of use cases, all from a single provider.” He concludes, “Our customers look to Couchbase to help them realize their modernization strategies, and we have seen strong demand for Capella on Google Cloud. Extending Couchbase Capella on Google Cloud means we can accelerate growth and product innovation at scale for even more customers, giving them the flexibility to go across cloud service providers.”
