Dell Technologies Launches New Workstations For The Hybrid Workplace
Notebook and Precision workstations enable flexible use at mobile locations.
The new Latitude 9330 2-in-1 notebook is the first 13-incher in the Latitude 9000 series and the world’s first notebook with Collaboration Touchpad1. Users can turn their microphone on and off, turn their camera on and off, share their screen or start a chat in Zoom meetings with the touch of a finger. The touchpad automatically activates and deactivates these features at the start and end of each meeting, respectively. Apart from that, the entire touchpad is available as usual. The device’s two FHD cameras and its Neural Noise Cancellation feature complete the perfect meeting experience.
The Latitude 9330 is equipped with 12th generation Intel Core CPUs and supports connectivity options such as Intel Wi-Fi 6E, 4G LTE and 5G. The latest features of the Dell Optimizer software enable simultaneous multiple connections. This allows the device to use two connections on the same network at the same time. This enables faster data transfers and downloads. In addition, the software specifically protects the user’s privacy. The device automatically hides sensitive information when it detects an unwanted viewer and dims the screen when the user averts his or her gaze.
Workstations with new security features
Dell Technologies is launching its first 16-inch mobile workstation, the new Precision 7670. Also a premiere: The workstation is available in two different chassis variants with “Thin” and “Performance”. They give users maximum flexibility in terms of scaling and configuration and enable them to adapt their workstations even more specifically to their individual requirements. Users who want an even larger screen will find what they are looking for in the new Precision 7770. The mobile workstation with 17 inches offers them desktop-like performance.
Both new workstations can be equipped with 12th Gen Intel Core CPUs up to i9 models with 55 watts. Their graphics options range up to next-generation NVIDIA RTX A5500 GPUs with 16 GB. Memory can be configured with up to 128 GB of DDR5 memory. In addition, the two Precisions can be equipped with a new form factor from Dell Technologies for DDR5 memory: the Compression Attached Memory Module (CAMM). It enables thinner chassis without sacrificing performance.
To protect intellectual property, the workstations come with a host of new security features. They detect forced entry into the case as well as battery removal, include smartcard and fingerprint readers, and have an infrared camera for secure logins. Dell Optimizer also protects the user’s privacy on the workstations by automatically hiding information and dimming the screen.
