Globant Buys Italian Consulting Firm Sysdata

Globant is expanding its portfolio with the acquisition of Sysdata, which offers consulting services and digital transformation projects to industries such as banking, insurance, automotive, energy and retail.
Founded in 1980 in the Italian city of Bologna, the business and technology consultancy brings capabilities in data analytics, business intelligence, enterprise architecture, marketing technology and mobile applications.

The takeover of Sysdata marks Globant’s entry into Italy. The acquired company has a workforce of more than 300 professionals. Roberto Vecchione, its founder, will retire from day-to-day operations.
This year Globant also announced the acquisition of GeneXus and its low-code platform with artificial intelligence functions. A few months earlier it acquired lead-to-revenue services firm Navint.
