Huawei Leads In Smartwatches Globally
Between January and September 2024, its shipments of wrist wearables grew by 44.3% year-on-year.
Huawei is the most sought-after brand in the wrist wearable segment.
According to IDC data, it was number one in sales between January and September 2024. During the first three quarters of the year, the only quarters for which data are available, it experienced a 44.3% year-on-year growth in shipments. This is the largest increase in the top five.
The top 5 includes competitors such as Apple, Xiaomi, Samsung and BBK. Huawei has a market share of 16.9 %, which makes it the market leader. Apple is close behind with 16.2 %.
Huawei’s proposition has been supported by several smartwatch launches recently. These include models such as the HUAWEI WATCH FIT 3, HUAWEI WATCH GT 5 and HUAWEI WATCH D2.
