IT Jobs For Refugees From Ukraine

More than 5 million Ukrainians have been forced to leave their home country after the Russian invasion. As many of them are preparing for a longer stay abroad, they are looking for a job that matches their qualifications. Job portals for the placement of Ukrainian professionals have already been launched and are a great support for the refugees.

“Foreign Expert” matches Ukrainians with IT companies

A new platform called “Foreign Expert” is now using AI technology to help Ukrainian refugees find a suitable job in an IT company in Western Europe even faster. Via “Foreign Expert”, Ukrainian specialists are offered exactly the jobs that match their qualifications. They don’t need to sift through job offers on job portals to which they then have to apply but can simply register on the portal at www.foreignexpert.de. In this way, an AI automatically finds the jobs that suit them.

SAP came up with the idea in collaboration with recruiting firm Brandmonks, which developed the AI technology for the platform. A total of 49 SAP partner companies have already registered here with 143 job offers. These include job openings in areas such as software development, network and system administration, consulting, and project management, as well as in areas such as marketing and human resources.

AI tool “flynne” enables fast matching

“The whole thing works with the technology of our recruiting tool flynne, which matches the profiles of professionals with job profiles in a fully automated way and presents matching people to HR decision makers in real time,” explains Morten Babakhani, CEO of recruiting firm Brandmonks. And “flynne” can do even more: via online marketing campaigns, Ukrainian professionals are specifically made aware of open job opportunities at their digital touchpoints and invited to the “Foreign Expert” platform to register and find a suitable job in their desired Western European country.

“Flynne” has already been successfully used for some time by SAP partner companies to recruit IT experts and talent. “When the big wave of refugees started, it was quite obvious for us that we should now use the tool to offer Ukrainian professionals’ quick access to a job and thus a new perspective. Our partner company Brandmonks was immediately on board and helped us to develop the new website within a few days and to integrate “flynne” accordingly “, says Jürgen Kleinsteuber, Head of strategic and performance programs SAP MEE GPO, who considers “Foreign Expert” to be a huge opportunity: ” This allows many Ukrainian specialists to build a new future for themselves, and it will enable our partner companies to attract new specialists with excellent skills”.
