More Time for Patients Thanks to AI-Supported Assistants
Oracle’s Clinical Digital Assistant combines voice technology with generative AI to reduce manual input into electronic medical records.
The Oracle Clinical Digital Assistant for ambulatory clinics integrates generative AI, clinical expertise, multimodal voice and screen-driven assistance, and simplified workflows into a single, unified solution. This enables doctors to meet high documentation requirements more efficiently and quickly. In the USA, the solution is integrated into the Electronic Health Record (EHR), which corresponds to the Hospital Information System (HIS) / Krankenhausinformationssystem (KIS) in Germany. Currently, the Oracle Clinical Digital Assistant is only available in the USA, with no clear timeline for its release in Germany.
Significant Time Savings
Doctors no longer need to interrupt treatments and patient appointments to navigate through drop-down menus or scroll through screens to find and manually enter information. They can instantly access key elements of a patient’s medical history by simply asking the digital assistant. During appointments, the application captures comprehensive notes, accessing previous data and information from the electronic medical record. This can save staff several hours each day.
Less Manual Screen Work
The application not only eliminates clicks but also automates the documentation process and synchronises it with the patient’s individual medical record without the need for copy and paste. This automation significantly reduces manual screen work, which contributes to physician overload. To ensure oversight and control, users complete the interaction by reviewing, modifying, and approving next step notes and actions on their computer or mobile device.
