This Is What the LG gram Ultralight Notebooks Look Like
The new line-up from LG Electronics consists of LG gram, LG gram Pro and LG gram Pro 2-in-1.
LG Electronics presents new ultra-light laptops, which promise all-day battery life and artificial intelligence (AI) capabilities.
These are the LG gram series models, “an exciting new range of products that combine ultra-thin design with powerful performance,” said YS Lee, head of the IT business unit at LG Electronics Business Solutions Company.
Comprising LG gram, LG gram Pro and LG gram Pro 2-in-1, this line-up consists of “portable devices with high specifications that deliver a premium user experience”.
On the one hand, LG is introducing the 17-inch, 16-inch, 15-inch and 14-inch LG gram models (17Z90S, 16Z90S, 15Z90S and 14Z90S) with Intel Core Ultra processor technology, NVMe PCIe 4.0 SSD storage and anti-glare coated IPS panels.
The LG gram 17 and gram 16 notebooks stand out for their large displays with WQXGA resolution.
What all the members of the LG gram 2024 family have in common is their Full HD (1920 x 1080) webcam, as well as the incorporation of LG Glance software by Mirametrix for security issues and LG gram Link to simplify tasks such as file sharing or screen mirroring.
LG gram Link is an application that is also present on the Pro models. With an integrated AI function, it is able to sort stored photos and search for images by keywords. It also supports an interconnected ecosystem of devices, such as smartphones and tablets, with the computer’s keyboard and mouse.
The LG gram Pro includes the 16Z90SP and 17Z90SP 16-inch and 17-inch models, both with Intel Core Ultra with hybrid architecture, NVMe PCIe 4.0 SSD NVMe and NVIDIA GeForce RTX 3050 graphics card.
Another specification is the Intel AI Boost neural processing unit that handles AI workloads even without a network connection.
With a dual cooling system, these PCs support the use of demanding software such as video editing and AI image-creation programs.
For connectivity, they feature ports such as Thunderbolt 4, USB Type-C, USB Type-A and HDMI.
Both models feature IPS displays with WQXGA (2560 x 1600) resolution. The larger 16-inch LG gram Pro has a version with OLED display and WQXGA+ (2880 x 1800) resolution.
Finally, the LG gram Pro 2-in-1 convertible computer (16T90SP) arrives as the lightest 16-inch 2-in-1 notebook. It measures 12.4 millimetres thick and weighs 1399 grams.
It also has an OLED display with WQXGA+ resolution. And its features include touch capabilities, a super slim bezel, a wirelessly rechargeable stylus and 360-degree adjustable hinge.
