Zebra Technologies Brings New Solutions to the Retail Industry
One of its new products is the Zebra Companion suite, comprising knowledge, sales, merchandising and device agents for front-line workers.
Zebra Technologies is expanding its portfolio of innovations, including products that leverage artificial intelligence (AI) technology to support retail operations.
‘For years, we have been integrating AI into our products, improving outcomes for our customers and partners. Our AI solutions are shaping the future of frontline operations, creating new ways of working,’ says Yogesh Kulkarni, who serves as vice president at the company.
With AI-enhanced capabilities, Zebra Technologies aims to ‘automate workflows, streamline processes or boost efficiency’, for example, by ‘making work easier every day’.
One of its new products is the Zebra Mobile Computing AI Suite, which includes a software development kit for capturing AI data and optimised applications for Android OS devices.
The idea is that customers, developers and independent software vendors will be able to integrate AI vision capabilities into mobile apps.
Zebra Technologies is also introducing the Zebra Companion suite, which consists of several AI agents, including a knowledge agent, a sales agent, a merchandising agent and a Zebra device agent for front-line workers.
Knowledge agent allows interaction with a help desk in a conversational manner, providing employees with information on routine tasks and standard operating procedures.
Sales agent answers product-related questions such as availability and pricing, as well as providing cross-selling recommendations.
Merchandising agent applies image recognition to inspect the condition of shelves and address problems such as gaps, misplacements or inaccurate signage.
Finally, Zebra Device agent supports device maintenance to prevent downtime in shops.
Zebra Technologies completes the introduction of Zebra Mobile Computing AI Suite and Zebra Companion with other solutions that are designed to boost retail operations.
Zebra Workcloud Sync addresses team collaboration with push-to-talk capabilities, WiFi voice and video calling, multimedia messaging and forums.
Meanwhile, Zebra Dimensioning Mobile Parcel software helps size parcels in seconds.
Zebra EM45 RFID Enterprise Mobile offers mobile computing and RFID reading capabilities, Zebra MC3400 and MC3450 handhelds enable use cases such as inventory management, product replenishment and e-commerce order fulfilment and, finally, the modular Zebra Kiosk System solution provides self-service options.
